My first unicorn

I. Love. Unicorns. Like, a lot. Like A LOT a lot, but it took me a while to attempt one in amigurumi. Created before I had really gotten the hang of making my own patterns, the unicorn was kind of awkward looking and lumpy and took me way, way longer than it should have to make, but she still managed to sell for a reasonable price at our local farmers' market. The young girl who ended up getting it still brags to her friends at school that she has one of my creations.

Even though it turned out considerably less than perfect, my first unicorn has a special place in my heart. Maybe it's because of the many hours I spent carefully threading its mane and tail. Maybe it's the psychedelic color pallette I chose for it. Maybe it's just the fact it's a unicorn, I don't know. The point is, I still think it's awesome, even if it wasn't what I was trying for.
